The solitude of Frank’s room calmed him down. He didn’t exactly know what happened between them going back to their car, Frank dropping off Gerard, or him getting home. All he remembered was that his father had been home to collect more of his things. Or maybe he was still here, Frank honestly didn’t know.
He locked the door to his room when he got home and grabbed the phone, dialing Gerard’s number. He enjoyed their time together and he wanted more. It was only natural. It was the first kind gesture Gerard had done in weeks.

Gerard moved against his red sheets in his sleep that night. He groaned when he couldn’t find that spot in his mattress where you can sleep comfortably and it pissed him off. Eventually he just gave up and lay on his back, staring up at the ceiling in a cold sweat. He breathed in and out, watching his chest roll and fall like the Pacific Ocean. His breathing echoed and bounced off his walls as he took in deep breaths. He flicked his eyes to the corner of their sockets and looked at the time. The cold, lime green numbers read 3:45. Gerard closed his eyes and ran his hands up and down his face, wiping away sweat.
